Functional & Adaptive Design Lab is an Architecture and Planning firm. We believe that each project has the potential to have a positive impact, on the people who use the space, the community and the environment as a whole. We approach each project driven by a unique purpose, using our expertise in functional design to create spaces that are practical & adaptive, and also socially and environmentally responsible.
We are a dedicated team with a combined experience of 15 years in crafting purpose-driven spaces across diverse typologies and scales. Our expertise spans residential, housing, commercial, healthcare facilities, plotted development, and hospitality. We collaborate closely with clients, valuing their vision to create spaces that are not only functional but also deeply meaningful.

Priyadharsan’s design philosophy is centered on a sensible and project-specific approach, prioritizing context, climate, and people. He meticulously tailors his designs to suit each project’s unique requirements, seamlessly integrating them with their surroundings. With a keen eye for sustainability, Priyadharsan incorporates eco-friendly practices to enhance energy efficiency and environmental harmony. Moreover, his people-centric design ethos ensures that his creations not only meet functional needs but also elevate the well-being and comfort of their users, reflecting his commitment to responsible and empathetic architecture.
A graduate of the School of Architecture and Planning at Anna University (2009-2014), his professional journey includes a notable 2-year tenure with Architecture RED, Chennai, where he progressed from design architect to leading proposals and managing projects, notably contributing to projects like an Airport City in Salalah, Oman, and a high-rise apartment for Artech Builders in Trivandrum.
Later he worked for 5 years as Senior Architect at Collage Architecture Studio, Bengaluru, where he has been a key player in various projects, ranging from row housing villas in Rajahmundry to high-rise apartments for Rohan Buider, Pune & ELV Projects Bengauru. His expertise extends from architectural design, planning & interior implementation, showcasing his comprehensive skill set and commitment to excellence.
